The opening times and cost of admission to the site of the ancient city of Troy in Canakkale province, Turkey are shown blow. The site is open every day of the year.

Opening - closing times


Summer (1 April - 14 November)

08.00 – opening time
19.30 – final admissions
20.00 – site is closed

Winter (15 November – 31 March)

08.00 – opening time
16.30 – final admissions
17.00 – site is closed

Price of Admission

The price of a ticket is 15 TL (Turkish Lira) per person. Admission is free for children aged 12 or under.

Students pay the normal fee. However, students on European Union Student Exchange programs and accredited academics doing research may be granted free admission.

There is a large car park at the entrance, which is free for all vehicles.

For Turkish citizens, the entrance price is 15 TL per adult and 10 TL for students. Turkish children are admitted free if they are aged 17 or under. Admission is free for those with a Museum Card (muzekart), which is sold at the ticket office. A Museum Card costs 20 TL and is valid for one year from the date of purchase. It provides free admission to all sites in Turkey administered by the Turkish Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

Some changes may occur from 1 January 2011 when the ticketing and entrance operation is scheduled to be privatized. A new turnstile system is also expected to be introduced.
